I've Had Some Success

Postby markd » Sun Jun 29, 2008 7:44 pm

Hello,

I worked on two niches yesterday. My first niche has 24k competition in quotes. I grabbed 4 spots on the first page of google in this niche including spot number 2.

Only problem was that Feedage had wetpaint as one of the feeds(Since SEnuke radomly choses) and the links to my domains and aff links were all screwy...bascially if my site was myproduct.com the link would end up going to a url like this: myniche.wetpaint.comhttp://myproduct.com

maybe I did something wrong. Will look into it on my end.

The other feed that grabbed front page was feedagg.com...but they deleted that feed..maybe it wasn't unique enough as I chose to submit 2 random feeds to each site...maybe I should stick with 1?

My second niche doesn't have a lot of comp...2500 in quotes but it is a "buy product" keyword with a ton of adwords ads. Much easier to get on page one this way than with adwords. So in this niche, my wordpress.com blog has several spots because apparantly they make pages with tags...so that is a good lesson there.

Another cool thing is that my 2 blog pages on my domain for each niche are on page 2 and which is really cool because they weren't anywhere in site before.

So I am happy with my results so far. I am just getting used to the software and the nuances with the sites as we are working with a lot of variables here. I may just choose 1 random sites for my bookmarks and my feeds so as not to raise any eyebrows. Hopefully google and the sites won't started messing with us that own the software because this thing is pretty powerful
